Dr. Mark Bamberger

Dr. Mark Bamberger is a fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon providing cataract and vitreoretinal services in the Durham Region. He received his Bachelor of Health Sciences Degree at McMaster University and was accepted into medical school at the University of Toronto after only 3 years. After medical school, he completed his ophthalmology residency training at McGill University where he received numerous resident academic and surgical awards. He then completed advanced fellowship training in medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous at the University of Toronto. Dr. Bamberger has been in independent practice since 2023 in the GTA and is a staff ophthalmologist at Lakeridge Health, where he performs his surgical procedures locally at Lakeridge Health – Bowmanville Hospital.
