Dr. Navdeep Nijhawan

MD, FRCSC, DABO

Dr. Nijhawan MD, FRCSC, DABO graduated Medical School and residency in Ophthalmology from the
University of Toronto. Following his residency, he received the prestigious American Society of
Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) Fellowship at the University of Toronto, which
he completed in 2003. He has trained under World-renowned Surgeons. Dr. Nijhawan is dual certified by
the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Currently, he is the Division Chief of Ophthalmology at Lakeridge health and Deputy Chief of Surgery at
Lakeridge Bowmanville. Dr. Nijhawan is an associate professor of Ophthalmology at the University of
Toronto and a clinical assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at McMaster University. He operates out of
Lakeridge in Durham and St. Michael’s Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto.
